This is one of the best holidays I’ve ever had. I have traveled all over the world, and if I’m perfectly honest, I was a little unsure about Daydream island as I had read a few poor reviews after I booked it.. I am here to defend the resort as I swear it was so so so amazing. Here are some of the highlights for us: - amazing pools for playing in, perfect temperatures and the swim up bar was super fun too! - best food in the Salti restaurant (also a really lovely waitress, didn’t catch her name but she had dark hair and was from Wisconsin and so wonderful to our family- I hope her boss sees this!) - amazing dining in “Infinity” for my dads birthday where all the staff came out and sang to him and made him feel really special with a great table/view of the ocean. The food and bev manager, he was so lovely, I really want to compliment the training he gives to the staff as they were ALL fantastic, I really mean it. We live in a world where service is pretty average these days and we saw the complete opposite here! - tour desk “Gabby” was mega helpful and made some great suggestions for our time here and budget- was so nice having genuine tips instead of just trying to sell us the most expensive experiences. -the breakfast buffet has a lot of options and everything was so lovely and fresh, I loved the passion fruit and pineapples, so deeelish! -we went and did a guided snorkel in the resorts Living Reef and Tiff was the best guide ever. None of us are great swimmers and have never snorkeled so she was super patient and really kind to the whole family. It was the best experience of my life! I highly recommend doing this, even if you’re an experienced snorkeler as we saw so many beautiful species and fish! -we went on the Great Barrier Reef tour and the people from the hotel to the whitsundays cruises people were so helpful and just want you to have the best holiday!

While not as bougie as the Hayman Island Resort, there is a lot to do at this resort. There are 2 restaurants on the island and the food options include an asian restaurant and a burger and pizza type of place. But vegetarian options available too and a small gift shop in the main lobby. But the key thing is the amazing activities to do on the resort (swimming with stingrays, live reef, sunset beach area behind with a rainforest pathway too to hike, sailing lessons that can be done from the island and scubadiving from island. The island has two sides, one for day trip and one for people staying. Big pools to swim in plus beach side. Great views. Easy to access port to go to reef or white haven tours as well as snorkeling tours or back to mainland to airlie beach or hamilton island. Walaroos are cute as anything on the island and you can feed them apples and bread and rice etc. like they are your pet dog. The cockatoos too. There was also paint and sip and other activities as well. Very family friendly. There is an underwater observatory room(an aquarium of sorts) and morning yoga in that room. there is also a kids section and other such aquariums throughout. It is beautiful paradise

Such a beautiful island in the Whitsundays! We had a nice time, the water was crystal clear and the weather tried to stay clear for us. The island its self is amazing, the accommodation is improving though still has a lot of room for improvement. No transfers from mainland included in room packages which is a hassle and an extra cost on top. We paid over $2700 for 3 nights accommodation then another $380 for the transfer over.. Food on the island is nothing special, adults basic meals are around $30 up and most of the fun activities on the island cost $$. It would be great to see some big improvements to the guest experience, they have the location, and hotel sorted, they just need a team of great staff to get it on track.

After reading many poor reviews that people had posted and after being a little worried to go on our trip, and already set in the mind that it was going to be bad, I feel I had to leave a review to say that it was quite the opposite to what I had read. Food was amazing, I've not stopped talking about most dishes since we left, staff did what they could, yes they were a little short ( as is the whole of Australia!) But not in a way that you would notice they are short unless you were looking to go out of your way to complain. The rooms were clean and very comfortable, the pool was amazing. I was honestly ready to leave a bad review before going but honestly couldn't as I never wanted to leave.

Everything. It's so much better than the pictures. Such an incredible place. It's very clean and refurbished and plenty of swimming pools around the island. I loved every single minute in there. The staff were just amazing too, everyone was smiling and extremely friendly and polite. I felt very welcomed and relaxed. I wish I could stay longer. I'd 100% recomend this place to everyone. Also when I was there is was raining most of the time but this didn't spoiled my stay at all. Still enjoyed it a lot. The room itself was very big and super comfy. Slept like a baby. The place looks trully like a paradise and it felt like too
